Unforgettable Spirit of Vintage Christmas Decorations

Christmas has to be the one occasion when great memories are created. What makes Christmas memorable each year is the love shown and shared by a family with friends and strangers. What makes it unforgettable is the Christmas spirit present in each vintage Christmas decoration.

Christmas is an event that encourages traditions to be made and passed on. We all remember how wonderful it was to search for the perfect Christmas tree and to take out all the boxes filled with decorations that has been passed on from generation to generation. It is in the choosing and decorating the tree that makes the tradition still alive and special.

In choosing what to decorate and beautify your Christmas tree, you may consider these 3 things to help simplify the decorating process. These are:

Tree Size- you have to consider how wide and how tall is your tree. This is also in correlation to where you would place your tree. You have to decide if you’ll put in the middle of your living room or at the corner. Will it stand near the staircase or nearer to the door? After doing that, you can then get an estimate as to how much decoration you’ll need to cover the tree.

Tree Theme- you might want to place a theme on your tree. Some folks do this to make everything else in the house come together through uniformity. Do you wish to go all bears with tiny bears hanging on the tree? Or angels of all kinds that float by? Or you can go by color schemes like red and white, or a shiny blue scheme.

Tree Accessories- Christmas lights, fake snow and glitter are only some accessories you can use to add as finishing touches to your tree. You can even add electronic gadgets that play Christmas carols as the lights blink and dance. Another idea would be to have an electric toy train run through and around the tree. All of these will depend on the theme you chose for your tree.

Based on the 3 tree conditions, you can now narrow down which vintage Christmas decorations will you use to complete your tree and start decorating the rest of the house. This would be the best time to ask help from the rest of the family. Give them instructions but allow them to be creative so as not to make it a chore. It is in moments like these that memories are created.

Taking mini breaks with hot cocoa and cookies are welcome. This would give you time to look over the progress you have made. You can assess how much time is needed or if you need additional vintage Christmas decorations to finish up. Just bear in mind that if in the end, it did not turn out to be the perfect tree you had in mind, there is always next Christmas. What is important is using the opportunity to spend quality time with your family and creating new traditions or continuing old ones.

You have a wonderful site! I’ve visited quite a few times now and plan on visiting often. I’m a fan of Vintage Christmas Decorations but also collect a lot of Antique Christmas Ornaments and love adding new beautiful things to my collection. My father has little tea pot tree ornaments passed down from his mother and I hope to inherit them from him even though the paint has faded and has chipped off it just adds more character! I’m already chomping at the bit to have Christmas hurry up and get here!
